We are excited to announce that Eminence will hold our second annual Investigation Invasion Science Fair on Friday, February 6, 2015.  All students in grades K-7 will be required to participate, with participation encouraged in grade 8.

Hands-on scientific investigation is the focus of our science fair.  Much of the project work will need to be done at home.  Teachers will, however, provide  students with sufficient support within the classroom.

Through time management and project planning, the students will take on the responsibility of completing their project.  They will accomplish each step of the project by doing activities in class, as well as homework assignments.  It will be very important in the next few weeks to make sure that your student is keeping up on assignments related to their final project.

All judging of projects will take place during school hours on the day of the science fair with students presenting their projects in class.  Winners of the Science Fair will be announced the evening of the event.  Winners must be present in order to receive their award.  Another fabulous trip/adventure is being planned again this year.   The schedule for the Science Fair is as follows:

5:30 – 7:00 – Chili Supper

6:00-7:00 – Students present their projects

7:00 – Awards Presentation

We hope that you will work with us to make this a positive experience for all.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Thank you – Eminence Science Fair Coordinators  (Laura Shipley, Beth Arnold, Jessi Koosman, Whitney Reeder, Peaches Stevens)
