Congratulations to Kayla Singer for being honored as the Eminence DAR Good Citizen Award recipient for 2015-16.
The following is an excerpt from the story featured in the Reporter Times:
“She is a very good student with membership in band, SADD, Spanish club, student council and the National Honor Society. Singer has attended Hoosier Girls’ State, West Point Leadership Conference, Cedarville University Leadership Conference and has been involved in community service since seventh grade.
She has helped with the Ronald McDonald House and volunteered at local nursing homes.
Singer has served with her church in many different capacities and enjoyed her mission trip to Mexico. Being involved on the praise team has given Kayla many opportunities to enrich her religious beliefs and goals while truly helping others.
This very busy young woman has also given many hours to an animal hospital as a devoted volunteer.
Singer will be attending Grace College in Winona Lake. She will be majoring in pre-veterinary medicine and minoring in worship arts.
She also believes that patriotism is not just a matter of pride, but genuine respect for our nation’s accomplishments.”
