Eminence Community Schools is proud to announce our rescheduled commencement celebration. Our commencement, which would have happened in May, had been postponed due to the governor’s orders that schools close through June 30th. As we prioritize the safety of our community and the importance of this event for our Seniors and their families, we have settled on a plan that fits within the states stage 4.5 guidelines and has the support of Morgan County Public Health Preparedness and Response Coordinator, Steve Lyday.
Our commencement will take place July 25th at 2:00 on the softball field. Seniors will be seated in accordance with social distancing in the infield. We will also have seating for immediate families. Additional guests should bring lawn or camping chairs and find space socially distanced from others in the outfield. Cold waters will be provided. We are working to provide a livestream available online for those that cannot or should not attend.
We look forward to honoring our graduates in this new and different way. We plan to have a special day for these special Seniors!
