A Message from Your Superintendent…

Greetings,

Welcome to Eminence Community School Corporation.  Our Preschool through Grade 12 students are served on one campus – which includes Eminence Elementary School (Pre-K through Grade 5) and Eminence Jr.-Sr. High School (Grades 6-12).  At Eminence, we are able to provide all of the benefits of a private school education in a public school setting!  Our students are pushed to learn and achieve academically through a variety of core curriculum and support services that meet the unique educational, social, and emotional needs of each child.  Our faculty and staff work with students and their parents to provide quality educational opportunities in a structured and safe environment.

As the new superintendent, I am proud of the opportunities our corporation continues to provide for our students.  In October of 2016, Eminence began a community preschool program to serve children ages 3-5.  We are also excited to announce the introduction of STEM and robotics to Eminence Elementary beginning with the 2017-18 school year.  In addition, Eminence was recently awarded an IDOE Digital Learning Grant in the amount of $75,000 to support the launch of our 1:1 student computing initiative this year!

Eminence Jr.-Sr. High School continues to offer students an outstanding Agriculture and FFA program.  It is one of the few in this area and has maintained an excellent reputation for being very active.  Our Agricultural Sales Team were announced as State Winners in the summer of 2016 and have competed at the national level!

These are just a few examples of the wonderful activities taking place in our schools and why it is always a great day to be an Eminence Eel!  We may be a small corporation, but you will find that we have a very BIG heart for our students.  Our goal is to instill a love of life-long learning in each child!  If you are interested in joining the Eminence community, please contact me directly at (765) 528-2101.  I would love to share with you all of the reasons why “Eminence is a great place to learn!”

Sincerely,

Laura Penman
Superintendent
