Great news for Eminence families! Eminence Community Schools is proud to be a CEP district. That means every student receives breakfast and lunch at no cost.

Today, a group of Eminence Jr/Sr High student-athletes had the opportunity to attend the IHSAA Student Leadership Conference alongside our new Athletic Director, Samantha Call.
The conference provided an incredible day of learning centered on leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, communication, and service. Through interactive activities and conversations with peers from across Indiana, our students gained valuable insight into what it means to lead by example both in school and in their communities.
We are grateful to the IHSAA for investing in the next generation of student leaders and for providing this outstanding experience. It was also a great opportunity for Mrs. Call to begin building relationships with our student-athletes as she starts her first year leading Eminence Athletics.
We know our students returned home with new ideas, stronger leadership skills, and the motivation to make a positive impact throughout our school and community.

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Eminence Community Schools will implement our Away for the Day expectation in accordance with Indiana’s new bell-to-bell device law (SB78). Personal electronic devices, including cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, AirPods, and similar devices, must remain powered off, stored in a locker or backpack, and inaccessible throughout the school day. This change is designed to reduce distractions, increase student engagement, strengthen relationships, and create a learning environment where every student can fully participate and succeed. Students with documented medical needs, IEPs, or 504 plans will continue to receive appropriate accommodations. We appreciate our families' partnership and support as we work together to ensure that Every Eel is Present. Every Eel is Engaged.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms and mother figures who support, guide, and inspire our students every day. Thank you for all you do. #WeAreEminence
