Our Plan

A Note from the Principal

Hello Eminence Family, My name is Brian Burelison and I am the proud principal of the Jr/Sr High School. I believe that although small, we are mighty. We have many ambitious but attainable goals. At Eminence, we believe that we are the Disney World of schools. We want...

Programs

With our elementary leading way with their STEM certification, the Jr/Sr High School has followed suit and is working hard on becoming STEM certified! With custom project based lessons, the emergence of a STEM maker space, coding classes, jr/sr high school robotics, and a brand new e sports team next year, we are confident in becoming fully STEM certified in the 21-22 school year.  #STEMinence

We take pride in making sure we meet the social and emotional learning needs of each student. Our teachers are all trauma informed care trained and implement SEL into their lessons. We know that in order to truly learn, students must feel safe. Therefore our staff is “there” for our students. We are truly “A Family of Learning” and build our family members up. We have developed a research-based curriculum features lessons that use the latest information about the brain to dramatically improve behavior and learning for all students as well as made a social-emotional learning calming space for the students to use.

Being a rural school, we believe that our students can excel with a state of the art agriculture program. Additionally, we have created our own graduation pathways program focused on landscape management and horticulture. Our AG program focuses on a wide variety of aspects such as animals, plants,  working with meat rabbits, aquaponics, school beautification projects, and many more projects in the years to come. Agriculture and business are partnering together to form a unique blend of AgriBusiness class in the near future.

Business is our second graduation pathways program. On a daily basis, our students learn about the stock market, coding, improving typing skills, real world business and financial management protocols and current business techniques and entrepreneurial business strategies. Agriculture and business are partnering together to form a unique blend of AgriBusiness class in the near future.

The athletic program has seen drastic improvements in recent years. The new weight lifting program is housed in our brand new 2600 foot athletic complex. Additionally, new sports such as soccer, wrestling, and archery have been added to the athletic curriculum. We have developed new student leadership groups, joined a new athletic conference, added new athletic awards, and in-house athletic scholarships. In the coming years we anticipate various upgrades to our facilities and new sports.

Happy Tuesday, 6-15-21 Mitch AlbomWe all yearn for what we have lost. But sometimes we forget what we have. -Mitch Albom (The Time Keeper)Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are. While your reputation is merely what others think you are. The greatest legacy anyone can leave behind is to positively impact the lives of others. Whenever you add value to other people's lives, you are unknowingly leaving footprints on the sands of time that live on, even after your demise. -Emeasoba GeorgeIf you don't get out of the box you've been raised in, you won't understand how much bigger the world is. -Angelina JolieTo inspire people, don't show them your super powers. Show them theirs. You can tell a lot about the character of an individual when they lose rather then when they win. Lazy people do little work and think they should be winning. Winners work as hard as possible and still worry if they're being lazy. -Lewis CarollaOften when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something. Supporting another persons success will never take away from your won. -Tom HardyKnowledge is the bridge to a better place. People will go farther than they thought they could when someone else thinks they can. -Jon MaxwellFinding balance, there is a narrow line between to much chaos and too much order. We must support the values of the past, with gratitude and respect. However we must also keep our eyes on the future. Your comfort zone will kill you. Not every child will become a lawyer or a doctor. Teach your kids that it is okay to work with your hands and build cool stuff. -Keanu ReevesThe older you get, the more quiet you become. Life humbles you so deeply as you age. You realize how much nonsense you've wasted time on. No matter how good or bad your life is, you wake up each morning and be thankful you still have one. -Paul WalkerI want to live in a world where searching for plane tickets burns calories! ...

Tuesdays with Morrie! 6/8/21 @mitchalbom Happy Tuesday!!!!!!The only time we waste, is the time we spend thinking we are alone.― Mitch AlbomQuitting is Never an option! -Arnold SchwarzeneggerWork hard in silence and let success make the noise. -Felicia KnightonThe biggest concern for any organization should be when their most passionate people become quiet. -Teacher GoalsDawn always comes, even after the darkest night. -Charlie LucasNever regret anything because at one time it was exactly what you wanted. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose. -YodaScottie Pippen had 0 college offers. He went from being an NIAA equipment manager to an all-time NBA great. Just because your dream is delayed, doesn't mean it's denied. Continue to work with determination, your time will come. People are so used to collateral damage-the connected but not really important things or people that break or get hurt in the process-but no one really looks at the good acts shown during these moments that can make a person feel better which is known as collateral beauty. Fall and figure out what to do on the way down. -Don't Think Twice (Movie)Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. -Dr. SeussFOCUS- Dwayne "The Rock" JohnsonWhy do they call it rush hour when nothing moves? -Robin Williams ...
